What do we believe?

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,

the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,

God from God, Light from Light,

true God from true God,

begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father;

through Him all things were made.

For us and for our salvation

he came down from heaven,

was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary

and became truly human.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;

he suffered death and was buried.

On the third day he rose again

in accordance with the scriptures;

he ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,

and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son,

who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,

who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.

We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come. Amen

Ecumenical Partnership Opens Food Pantry in the Zionsville Area Heeding the call to tend and feed God’s sheep, the Zionsville Ministerium Churches have joined together to open the Zionsville Area Food Pantry.

Housed in what was once the old council room of Zion’s, the pantry will be open, twice a month, on the 3rd Wednesday & the 3rd Saturday.

 WHO QUALIFIES? Some have asked as to who qualifies for participation

in the Food Pantry. The only requirement is that one read and sign a “Self-Declaration of Need” statement put out by the State of Pennsylvania. We, here at the Zionsville Area Food Pantry, will not question the person for any further information concerning their needs. The five area churches helping to man this Pantry want those who have needs to come and to use this Pantry. At the present time, we will only be providing non-perishable food items. This also includes some personal hygiene items. We will help those in need by providing enough food to help them through three days of need.

The Zionsville Area Food Pantry will also assist persons who want to fill out forms to see if they qualify for Food Stamps. Understanding that some people feel they aren’t the ones in need, no one need go hungry when there is food available. God wants us to help others in their time of need and the churches in the Zionsville area are dedicated to making this pantry a way they can help. Volunteers are needed. You can volunteer by calling the Church office at 610-966-3834.
